Getting Wiggy with It

A few months ago KRS Hair Group sent me the Knatural Course 16″/18″/20″ Wig from their Knappy Hair Extensions Collection. The first time I wore it, I didn’t know exactly what I was doing but I was in love with it. I styled it with a flat twist out to make it wavy. But as my friend pointed out later I had to leave out some of my own hair. I tried that on Halloween and it was a strong NO. So recently I saw another friend get her bangs cut so I was like I can do that with the wig, Bangs = No Leave Out! I cut the bangs myself and I think it turned out pretty good.

Spring Wardrobe for Winter Weather

Raven

Spring is around the corner, which means the stores are starting to release their spring collections. But here in New York, it’s still cold. So I’ve taken this dress from Anna Sammarone’s spring collection and layered it so I can wear it now. I layered the maxi wrap dress with a turtle neck and sheer tights. Because it’s still like 4 layer minimum weather, I opted for my oversized navy coat and for a little-added warmth I added chunky socks.

BYOB with bareMinerals

This past Saturday I hosted my first blogger meet-up in New York. I had the best time with all the ladies that showed up to the BYOB with bareMinerals at their Shade Shop in SoHo. At the event we went through our Beauty Bags to see what should and should not be in there. Beauty Specialist, Lorraine, provided a spring beauty look demonstration with some great tips. We had giveaways for the participants, great music and of course networking. We even enjoyed small bites provided by Dean and Deluca. Overall this event was a success and we are already planning the next one. 🙂

NYFW: Day 1

Today marks the start of one of the best weeks in the year, New York Fashion Week. I went to the Tadashi Shoji show at Lincoln Center and the Big Park show near central park. Today I opted for a more minimal monochromatic look. I found this cocoon coat at +Urban Outfitters for only $20. I can’t wait to transition it to spring. I went for al black underneath for a more chic look. I layered for the gods since this coat isn’t the thickest. I went for a simple LBD that has the longest sleeves ever which is the best since I have a really long arms and its a really warm sweater material. I went to two events, pics will be posted soon.  Photographed by Jean Paul Dia
