Last Tuesday I was invited to the Travle Press Event at the DoubleTree by Hilton New York Times Square. This beautiful 37 story hotel opened in February 2017. It’s located near Times Square in close proximity to the Broadway Theatre Distict, Javits Center and tons of shopping and restaurants.
Last week I was invited to the Maison Jules Christmas Party. The event was at Interface in Midtown. Christmas music played while we enjoyed drinks, small bites, a snowy photo booth and a few gifts. Maison Jules gifted us with sweaters and complimentary monogramming by Daphney. There was also a tote with iron patches station and Christmas cards. While everyone mingled and sipped their drinks I walked around waiting for my friend to show up and he never did. One thing about me is that I hate being at parties by myself. I know I know I need to get better, stop being anti social, network, blah, blah, blah. So I of course was caught at the party on my phone. It’s my escape, cop out and default. Luckily I did meet a guy who was working the party that I had seen in the play SOMEDAY. He looked really familiar but I did’t know why then it clicked, that’s probably why I was on my phone in the photo above. Any who in the end I did do some networking because I spoke briefly to him about my non profit and we’re seeing how his organization and mine can partner together. So I’m getting better, baby steps. All in all it was a good time on a Tuesday night. Be sure to check out their cute sweaters and full line at Macy’s.

This past Saturday I hosted my first blogger meet-up in New York. I had the best time with all the ladies that showed up to the BYOB with bareMinerals at their Shade Shop in SoHo. At the event we went through our Beauty Bags to see what should and should not be in there. Beauty Specialist, Lorraine, provided a spring beauty look demonstration with some great tips. We had giveaways for the participants, great music and of course networking. We even enjoyed small bites provided by Dean and Deluca. Overall this event was a success and we are already planning the next one. 🙂
I went to the launch of Cadillac’s new car the CT6 at the Duggal Greenhouse in Brooklyn. I went my my homie Ananta from The New Black NYC. I enjoyed a night filled with food, drinks and music and of course the brand new Cadillac CT6. The new Cadillac CT6 is for the daring those who aren’t afraid to take risks. The new car is filled with new safety features, new design features and of course new technology. The event culminated with a performance from Raphael Saadiq which was Epic!
During fashion week I had the pleasure of attending the WarPaint International Beauty Agency Launch Party. WarPaint International is the leading agency for New York wedding make-up. I’m not getting married anytime soon but I’m definitely all about make-up these days. Don’t live in NEw York, don’t fret they also have services available in California and Minneapolis. The way the agency works is you sign up for a subscription service and they do your hair or make-up where you are, home, office or even the back of a cab. Have an event right after work? Why not get glammed up beforehand with out all the Do It Yourself stress.
The launch party featured signature Aviv 613 cocktails, hair touch up station presented by Shu Uemura Art of Hair and make-up touch up stations presented by Sigma Beauty. And of course my favorite part of the evening, the photo booth, fully equipped with props. 🙂 I opted to get my make-up touched up and “Prepare for Battle” as their motto suggests. Overall it was a great night filled with beauty and beautiful people. Be sure to check out WarPaint Internationalfor all your beauty service needs.
This past Sunday I also had the pleasure to support a great friend and big sis of mine, Tieko Nejon. She launched her fabulous line, Muse of June, all handmade by her. The line includes hand dyed coverups, hand dyed wood necklaces and hand etched and cut necklaces, cuffs and bracelets. My favorites were the middle finger cuff and the wood bead choker necklaces. I’m still deciding which color I love the best, debating between blue and yellow. The blue went really well with this dress so I have big decisions to make lol. Tieko is such a lovely spirit and her collection truly is a representation of everything I know her to be. I’m already excited for the next gathering. Love you Tieko.
Thursday I went to the Season 3 Premiere Screening of Mary Mary. The screening took place at Lago D’Argento Pizzeria in Silverlake. Tina and Erica’s sister Goo Goo coordinated the event. The event was full of good people, good times and on-screen drama as we watched a double header of Mary Mary and Scandal. I had the pleasure to meet Goo Goo and Erica, both were extremely beautiful inside and out. The show was great can’t wait for the next episode 🙂
